Default New Warrior Weapon- Spear

One weapon I think this game still need is spear. The epear is ignored in many games because they cant find a good use to it. But I think of a few skills and ways to use them.

The spear in Guild Wars should have more dmg than a sword less than a axe and less accurate than a sword. It is a weapon for tactions and secondery warriors not one for a idiotic grunt.

Spear skills:

-Snake dance:
you swing the spear in a circular motion for 5+X seconds. Any foe getting into the area takes Dmg -5 and knock out of the area. During Snake Dance, you deflacts all forms of attack except hexes. When Snake Dance ends, you lost all adrenaline and energy.

energy:15
cast time:0
cool down rime: 30
type: stance

One example for using this skill is when your monk is next to a dead ally and is resurecting him. You can use Snake Dance to protect the monk and maybe even give sometime for the monk to heal the ally.



-Penetrating Strike:
Target take +10 dmg and suffer deep wound, lowering target health by 10% for 10 seconds.

energy: 6 arenaline
cast time: 0
cool down time: 0
type: spear attack



-Toss Spear:
You toss your spear at target, interupt and knock down that target. Than you appear next to the target. Toss Spear has the range of 1/2 of the bow attack range. Toss Spear count as a range attack.

energy: 5
cost time: 2
cool down time: 15 seconds
type: ranged spear attack

You can use this skill to quickly attack the enemy team's monk without get crippled by enemy's warrior or ranger.



-Snake Tail Strick:
You swipe your spear at target foe. That target is knocked down and you interrupt target's action. But you deal not damage.

energy: 10
cast time:0
cool down time: 10 seconds
type: spear attack



-Snake Strike
you have +30% attack speed and -5 damage. while you are using Snake Strike target can not get close to you and can not use a skill. Snake Stance last 3+ seconds. You can not use any skill while you are using Snake Strike.

energy: 6 arenaline
cast time: 0
cool down time: 20 seconds
type: spear attack

Maybe you have a warrior on your tail and your energy is low. You can use snake strike to keep a warrior at bay while you recharge your skills.



-Slash
you swing your spear at target, that target begins bleeding for 10 seconds. Slash can not be 'evaded'.

energy: 4 arenaline
cast time:0
cool down time: 0



-Back Strike:
you strik back at your pursuer you hit with +20 damage, that target foe is knock downed for 5 seconds.

energy: 5
cast time: 0
cool down time: 10 seconds
type: spear attack



-Signet of Concentration
when using signet of concentration you attack with more accuracy and more damage. signet of concentrayion last 10+ seconds.

energy: 0
cast time: 5 seconds
cool down time: 30 seconds
type: signet

I have a question on the damage part. You said spear should be > sword and spear < axe.

Max damage for sword is 15-22 and axe is 6-28.

Do you mean minimum of spear should be more than 15 and max damage less than 28?

Yes. But less accurate than any of these two.

It'd be nice if you put some damage ranges instead of a plus.

Your ideas are very original. However, I'd be more inclined to support this idea if you balanced some of these suggestions.
Slash costs the same as Sever Artery, but can't be evaded.
Snake Strike strikes me as very broken [pun intended], as this skill would nullify any melee without a counter I can think of.
Making a signet that adds more damage than a Conjure with a shorter cooldown [plus no mana cost] simply doesn't make sense.
I hope that Back Strike is Elite.
Toss Spear sounds good, but your motivation does not.

yes a spear would allow all those amazon fans of diablo
to live out their wonderful BIG BREASTED femme fatale fantasies

um... the idea moves are great... but no one can add or complain because this is
"your show" and more moves would have to be adjusted to accomodate "SPEAR"s existance

so really... add a spear and make it NOT THE BEST WEAPON IN THE UNIVERSE..
meanwhile it is probably slower and stronger than an axe, but with the range of close projectile... nuff said

I would rather them make a new and different class that utilizes the spear... right now all classes have an equal amount of attributes... it would be nice to see a spear added... but i would want a different class to use it... Warriors have normaly never used spears... spearmen have... so have horseback riders... with yari's and such... but meh, just my idea

yah, except not forced in to use a spear. ( ie. sward, spear, ect. )

I dont know about spears, might work out too be good on some points and bad in others. but then they would have to balance the characters out and add new type of weapon for each. It would be nice to have rangers to be able to use crossbows, or a sling. maybe shorter on ranger, but faster in reload.. (thats where bows are annoying, slow on reloading)
